Pedal Power, forward & back or use the hand break. We have now got some great Berg Go-Karts on site to keep kids of all ages busy and entertained! These karts are fun & fitness in one. The seats move forward & back to suit many different sizes. They are safe and solid, so nothing is stopping you to go hard!
Thornton Beach has heaps of space to build huge sand castles and offers safe swimming for the kids. The lagoon is excellent for the youngest campers and there are surf lifesavers keeping an eye out on the beach in the summer period.
There is a fantastic playground situated right beside our holiday park with slides, things to climb on and anything else that the little ones just love doing.

- Enjoy the Ocean Playground & Skate Park in McAlister Street, Whakatane
- Head out to "The Heads" for the Wairaka Playground
- You'll find BMX tracks at Eve Rimmer Park in Whakatane and Civic Park in Murupara
- Visit the Whakatane Astronomical Society after the sun goes down
- Take a shot at the Ohope Mini Putt, to be found behind the Surf Club
- Check out the Whakatane Aquatic Centre with a wicked hydroslide
