Park Facilities & Activties
We have a well designed ablution block and a bouncy pillow for the children.
Thornton Beach has heaps of space to build huge sand castles and offers safe swimming for the kids. The lagoon is excellent for the youngest campers.
Our Holiday Park is pet friendly from after Easter till mid December on the campsites, but pets are not allowed in the accommodation. Dogs on the site will have to be kept under control at all times in our pet area and you are expected to clean up after them. We cannot accept any pets during peak time, school and public holidays and we contain the right to refuse them at any time.
Your hosts are constantly working on improving and extending the guest amenities. Suggestions from our valued guests are welcome.

River Mouth Fishing for Kahawai
We are the ‘Kahawai Capital of the World’
At certain times of the year Kahawai will run the river in hundreds chasing bait fish. Call us to find out when they are running and experience something very special.

A Public toilet is close to the safe swimming area which comes in handy.

Just inside the mouth of the Thornton River is a beach are with fresh water safe for swimming.

Nextdoor to the Holiday Park is a nice playground and Free Barbeques for your use.
Boat Ramp
200m from the park entrance is the Thornton Boat Ramp. Launch your boat here and go fishing for Snapper.
Wharf Fishing
Take kids fishing at the Wharf. Mullett, Herring and now and again Kahawai.
